Laser Centrum supplies parts for CV90

The stop of the Minister of Defence in Liberec was Laser Centrum CZ, s.r.o., which has been focusing on laser burning, bending, machining, welding and painting of parts since 2006. In the company, the Minister of Defence held talks with the owner, Václav Kvapil, who, after an introduction to the history of the company and its objectives, informed about the involvement in the production of Swedish CV90 infantry fighting vehicles for the Czech Army. Involving Czech industry in these activities is one of my priorities. We need to support the ability of Czech industry to produce, modify and maintain military and security systems, as this increases the security of the state and helps the economy,” said Minister Černochová.

“We very much appreciate Minister Černochová’s interest in involving Czech industry in the ongoing contract for the supply of CV90 infantry fighting vehicles. We believe that the cooperation with the Swedish company BAE Systems will guarantee further development in this nowadays so important industrial sector,” said the company’s managing director Václav Kvapil, adding that their components are used not only in the defence or aviation industry, but also in the production of rolling stock. They export their products to several European countries, such as France, Sweden, Germany and Spain.
